I came across a great site today - TV’s Worst Adverts - and the first contender is an advert for Davidoff aftershave starring Ewan McGregor. I agree with the author, McGregor is a great actor and very likeable person, I thouroughly enjoyed the Long Way Round and Long Way Down motorcycle road trip tv shows with Charley Boorman. (well, it was great viewing until McGregor’s annoying wife wanted a piece of celebrity).

But this advert is terrible. Why do actors, who quite obviously choose their films carefully, who aren’t short of a few quid, choose to do so knaff tv adverts?
