In a timely nod to UK industry (just as the country is going down the pan!) Dom Joly does his best to boost the UK economy by chucking out all his foreign-made possessions and attempting to replace them with British-made products.

His family are none to pleased when todays ‘essential’ gadgets are all taken away – laptop, Xbox & TV only to find no replacement can be found as no TVs have been made here since 1981!

While travelling around the country on his mega-shopping trip (in a British-made Morgan sports car of course), Dom discovers some of the reasons behind the decline of British manufacturing – and I think with most of us having to tighten our purse-strings, we already know the answer to that one!
