Heroes – series 2, Truth & Consequences
Here we are hurtling towards another finale of one of my favourite shows! Last night we discovered that Adam Monroe does indeed appear to be the villain of the series. True, Sylar has popped up every now and then, usually killing someone in the process (by the way, I love the ticking whenever Sylar in on screen) but he has definitely been a background storyline figure this time.
Suresh unearths the research on the mutated strain 138 – the virus that will wipe out the population – and we find out that the mysterious Victoria was instructed by the Company to develop the Shanti virus into a biological weapon.
The show finishes with Adam and Peter entering Primatch as Hiro simultaneously teleports in, intending to kill Adam and Suresh receives a phone call from Sylar saying he has Molly.
I can’t help but feel a bit short-changed on this one, we have one show left and gazillions of undeveloped story lines waiting to conclude! I hear work has already started on season 3 (hurray!) so lets hope the show returns to it’s original, excellent and extremely long form.
Oh, and hard luck to all you BBC3 fans, it looks like we all get to see the ending at the same time!
