Heroes – “Four Months Later”, BBC2, Thursday 9pm

Well the much anticipated second series of Heroes is on our screens at last!  We got lots of interesting new story-lines unfolding and a chance to catch up with nearly all the old characters.  The opening montage suggests that evil old Sylar will be re-appearing at some point as well as Nikki and Micah Sanders.

I love the way our preconceptions  are already being shaken up as Hiro’s hero – Takezo Kensei- has turned out to be a British rogue and as his flag bears the Heroes symbol it seems the phenomena may go further back in time than we originally thought.  Or is the connection Hiro’s father, Kaito Nakamura, who used to read tales of the hero Kensei to Hiro as a child, and we know is part of the original organisation.

We already have our first casualty as Kaito Nakamura is assassinated by a mystery man who is apparently already known by himself and Angela Petrelli, who it seems is also on the hit list.

I have to query the ‘four month’ time-line though, how could Matt Parkman recover from a bullet wound, qualify as a detective and divorce his wife in four  months!  And surely Hiro’s story is a straight continuation from his jump to 1671, but hey I know I’m just nit-picking, this series looks like it is going to be just as excellent as the first.  Roll on next Thursday!
