Glastonbury Festival - BBC2, BBC3 & BBC4
After the awful coverage of The Isle Of Wight Festival on ITV2, where only 3 hours was aired over the whole weekend, this weekend you can sit back and relax in your own home and watch dozens of artists, over hours of live and recorded television , on no less than three BBC channels.
Yesterday’s coverage started at 7PM. Performances both live and recorded were shown including Kings Of Leon, Fratelis, The Ting Tings, Editors, We Are Scientists, K T Tunstall and Young Knives, among others. The highlight for me was MGMT. I’m not a fan of The Feeling, in fact I think they’re rubbish. But apparently their cover version of Aha’s eighties classic pop song, Take On Me went down well.
I’m looking forward to watching Jay-Z tonight, especially after hearing he has licensed Noel Gallager’s anti- hip hop rant to use for an intro - can’t wait.
And here’s some top tips on how to best recreate the live Glastonbury experience in your own home.
1. Drink warm cheap Fosters Lager from cans
2. Don’t flush your toilet
4. Invite a really tall bloke into your house to stand in front of you
5. Sleep in a tent
