Hopefully you are already familiar with the brilliant Flight Of The Conchords tv series.

Billing themselves as “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo”,  Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are a very funny comedy duo; and in Flight Of The Conchords they star as as two wannabe musicians.

Flight Of The Conchords started life as the basis of a BBC radio series before being made into an American television series in 2007 for HBO.  The brilliant tv series is a vehicle for their very amusing songs and off-beat humour.

In 2005 Bret McKenzie & Jemaine Clement were named Best Alternative Comedy Act at the US Comedy Arts Festival and in 2003 they received a nomination for the Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe after performing at a venue called The Caves.

Since then the duo have successfully toured around the world and in May they open a new live comedy show in the UK at the Manchester Apollo.
