The Curse of Steptoe - BBC4, Wednesday 9.00pm

This drama kicks of a new Curse of Comedy season for BBC4 which explores the lives of our popular comedy TV entertainers.

Phil Davis and Jason Issacs play Wilfred Brambell and Harry H Corbett who felt they were typecast by the shows popularity.

The season continues with biopics about Frankie Howerd, Tony Hancock and Joan Le Mesurier and Hughie Green.
