In court papers filed on Thursday, Sheen claims producer Chuck Lorre spent years “harassing and disparaging” him. He also alleges that Mr Lorre, “believes himself so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew”.

Sheen claims that he was only fired after publicly criticising Warner Bros and Mr Lorre, who he says were ‘quite happy to line their coffers’ while he was in rehab and only fired him to satisfy the producers ‘egotistical desire to punish’ him.

“Charlie Sheen is not only seeking payment of his own compensation for the series, he is also pursuing claims for the benefit of the entire cast and crew [of Two and a Half Men],” court papers also stated.

I was further amused when searching for ncaa basketball odds for an American friend and came across an entertainment channel offering odds on what Charlie Sheen might be arrested for next, as well as odds for when he will actually be arrested!

The list of arrestable offences includes gun possession, rape, cocaine possession, assault, tax evasion and more. My own favourite would be public nudity with its long odds of 9/1 or maybe public urination at 15/1.

Police carried out a search of the actors home on Thursday, believing that he may be in violation of a temporary restraining order issued last week. They are believed to have searched for firearms, although only an antique gun was retrieved and the fallen star is said to have co-operated fully with the search.

There are currently plans for six brand new episodes of the popular programme each being one hour long, which will chart a period of social change in Britain in which class structures and relationships between master and servant are tested to their limits. The new series will portray a society in its endgame.

Castle series two on Alibi

The fast paced US Police drama Castle returns to Alibi for a second series starting on Wednesday September 22nd, promising more action packed episodes full of murders, twist and turns and will-they-won’t-they sexual chemistry.

Nathan Fillion stars as Rick Castle, the successful murder mystery novelist who helps the New York Police Department in their crime investigations.

Series one followed the relationship between the wise cracking crime writer and Kate Beckett, the feisty NYPD Detective (Stana Katic). The already volatile relationship was left on rocky terms as Beckett found out that Castle had been delving into the unresolved death of her mother.

The duo first met when Richard “Rick” Castle is investigated by the NYPD when a murder victim matches the description of a victim in on of his best-selling novels. Inspired by his run-in with the beautiful Beckett and through his connections with the Mayor, Castle gets permission to hang out as a consultant to do research for his next book. Beckett is initially horrified by the idea of Castle tagging along, but as time progresses she learns to appreciate his unique approach to solving crimes.

Series 2 of Castle will be shown on Alibi every Wednesday from September 22nd at 9pm

The Bill

The final episode of the police drama ‘The Bill’ will be on our screens at the end of the month following the axing of the programme in March due to a fall in ratings.

The finale, which has been given the title ‘Respect’ will be followed by a one-hour special documentary called ‘Farewell The Bill’ outlining the shows history as well as taking a look behind the scenes as the cast and crew film their final acts.

Britain’s longest running police series began on 16th October 1984 and was originally intended as a one-off but was soon commissioned for a one-hour weekly slot.  In 1988, the series was increased to three programmes a week before returning to a weekly one-hour episode ten-years later.

The final episode was filmed in June of this year and is due to be aired on August 31st at 9pm on ITV followed by the special documentary at 10.35pm.

Jersey Shore - MTV

For all of you out there who like to watch those trashy reality shows then this one is for you  ‘Jersey Shore’, which begins tonight, Sunday 21st March at 9pm.

A group of Italian-Americans are put-up in a house for a month, supposedly to work at a T-Shirt store and let their hair down on there time off.

In reality they are a bunch of infuriating, loud Italian-Americans that are so far up their own backsides you hate them before the programme even gets going.  The over-muscled boys spend more time in the bathroom than the girls, primping and preening while the girls compete over who can wear the outfit with the smallest amount of material.

They will have you cringing in your seat from day one as they lose any inhibitions they had before the booze hits their bloodstream.  Take a look for yourself but I can’t imagine anyone would really want to sit back and watch this outrageous crap unless of cause they themselves are a guido or guidette!

A new Reality TV show is coming to our screens to be called ‘Celebrity Quitters’ where celebrities will quit smoking over the course of five shows, how exciting does that sound!

The programme will include Chloe Madeley , 22, the daughter of Richard & Judy, who was earlier this year given a driving ban for being almost twice over the drink driving limit after hitting a parked car.

Paul Danan,  21, the former Hollyoaks actor who in June 2008 was involved in a row with organisers at a beauty contest for being drunk and rude to the contestants with the police being called, although Danan denies it happened.

John Burton Race, the bankrupt restaurateur who just last week was banned from driving for 14 months when he failed to give a breath test after being stopped by police before wrestling them to the ground.  Do you see a bit of a pattern following here, and they are all there to give up smoking!

Also in the series is the Birds Of A Feather actress Linda Robson, who has just started smoking again after giving-up for 17-years and the  final contestant, the psychic Derek Acorah, who is said to smoke between 40-50 cigarettes a day, well you’d have thought he could see whats going to happen to him in the future!

The new programme is due to begin on the 18th January on Five and will run for two-weeks, showing the contestants all the background on what smoking is doing to them before they must decide to quit for good or carry on the challenge, can’t wait!

Top Of The Pops

The line-up for the Christmas and New year Top Of The Pops specials have now been announced and will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates.

The Christmas day episode to be broadcast on the BBC at 2pm, and is to include Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, La Roux, Sugarbabes, Lily Allen, Florence & The Machine, Muse, Diversity, JLS and Alexandra Burke.

The New Years Eve edition will be shown on BBC at 6pm and will feature performances from Robbie Williams, Shakira, Tinchy Styder, N-Dubz and Calvin Harris with the programme also taking a look back over the 2009 songs and artists.

Catherine Tate

Catherine Tate is going to be back on our screens this Christmas with her annual festive offering in ‘A Christmas Carol’ on BBC 1.

Tate will be playing the feisty nan who takes-on the part of Scrooge and even her dead husband is supposed to make his TV debut on the one-off special.

Grandson Jamie will of course be played by the talented Matthew Horne along with guest stars Roger Lloyd Pack who played the part of Trigger in ‘Only Fools and Horses as the ghost of Christmas Future, David Tennant as the ghost of Christmas Present and Ben Miller as the ghost of Christmas Past.

After being away from our screens for the past two-years, the 2009 Christmas special looks to be a real treat for all the family as nan gets a taste of her own medicine and the hope that she will mend her ways, if that’s likely, I don’t think so!

Now On BBC 1

The third series of Gavin & Stacey starts tonight and have now been promoted to BBC 1 with their hilarious sitcom written by actors James Corden and Ruth Jones.

If the second series is anything to go by, for which they won eight major awards, this one looks to be continuing the laughter as Gavin and Stacey return to live in Barry island with her new son.

Will Smithy realise that he and Stacey are made for each other and give everything up to be with her, and his best mate of course, or will Gavin and Stacey give married life a try?

David Mitchell

David Mitchell, best known for the ‘Peep Show’ is to be the host of a brand new BBC Comedy quiz to be called ‘The Bubble’ which is to be on our screen in the Winter/Spring of 2010.

Guests will spend four-days together in a county house without any media or news of events going on in the world before being taken into a studio where they will have to decide if the stories they are being told are true or false.

The programme which is produced by ‘Hat Trick’ will have a range of guests from comedians, celebrities and wild-card bookings.
