Fans of TV’s FaceJacker comedy series will recognise the face of Brian Badonde, the eccentric art critic at large as he attempts to find out more about the lastest technologies available in this hilarious series of clips made with the help of Bing.

In a quest to learn how technology can further enrich his already extravagant life, Badonde embarks on a journey that takes him to London’s Science Museum where he discovers the Babbage Analytical Engine – the first fully automatic calculating machine.

In his own crazy mind Badonde decides that this is actually the worlds first search engine and talks the engineer at the Science Museum into letting him have a go at cranking the handle only to jam the machine, much to the engineers annoyance.

Future episodes include Brian causing more mayhem and he takes over an internet and computer class and learning to ride and race on a Segway vehicle in Los Angeles in his mischievous quest for life enhancing technologies.

The way we watch television is changing dramatically. Internet-enabled television has brought buzzwords such as IPTV and Web TV into the national viewing consciousness and created a rapidly growing industry.

Starring Ben Willbond, the British comedian and actor who appeared in BBC 2’s Extras, The Thick Of It and Rev, alongside the Dutch celebrity Victoria Koblenko whose credits include Dead End, American Dreams and the horror movie Sl8n8.

Victoria plays the part of the sexy gadget crazy TV presenter who reviews new Philips products, Ben plays the part of Philips executive Nigel, a bumbling idiot when in the presence of Victoria.

The series opens with Nigel falling for Victoria on the set of her latest shoot. Nigel has never been on a shoot before and doesn’t really understand what’s going on. He’s nervous as hell and fancies Victoria like crazy. She doesn’t even notice him until he starts to assert his position. The increasing friction leads to a collision course with unexpected turns.

Nigel & Victoria – Boyfriend?

More a vehicle for brand awareness than anything else, there is not much evidence of the show being romantic or funny unless you are a fan of the overplayed bumbling adult male falling short in his attempt at conversing with an attractive girl.

There is a growing trend towards making this advertorial nonsense which is generally let down by a lack of good comedy writing and originality, and Nigel & Victoria falls short on both scores.

If it is your cup of tea, the first three episodes are launched today, Monday September 6th at 12 noon, with the next five episodes to be shown on Monday each week.

These days he is more concerned about making video blogs expressing his personal interests and political views than he is about making music.

He is no longer the flamboyant character that led Thotch, he is solo, serious, bald and fat and would rather argue over whether gorillas should wear bullet proof vests to protect them from poachers than finish his latest album.

It is of course a spoof series featuring the Fast Shows Simon Day as Brian Pern and unsurprisingly the character has already attracted celebrity followers Peter Gabriel, Brian May and Dave Gilmour.

The series, simply called Brian Pern is an ITV studio production for BBC and is broadcast exclusively online. Brian Pern series 2 can be viewed at BBC comedy from Friday July 16th.

Ever wondered what would happen if you swapped your body care regime with someone else? No me neither, but it has obviously been puzzling the producers of Skin & Bare It, a new online show.

Skin & Bare It is introduced by Channel 4’s Anna Richardson and is brought to us by Jergens Naturals. Each week the show will put the body care regime of two individuals under the microscope, while experts give their opinions and tips to those taking part. They are then asked to swap their regimes over three weeks, with the final results assessed by a beauty expert.

Kirill is an internet based sci-fi project launched by MSN. It follows the story of a fugitive desperately trying to deliver an urgent message. One huge problem…time is about to run out!

Each episode will take you off to other blogs and video sites to gather more information about the storyline…but that is as much as I can gather for the moment as the whole thing is purposely shrouded in suspence building secrecy.

Apparently Kirill is intended to be a prequel to a much bigger drama that Digital Studios are hoping to launch early next year.

This story is divided into a series of episodes – each one available to view online only.
