A report in the Sunday Mirror suggests that Amy Winehouse is set to appear on the BBC’s popular dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing. She will appear on the show as a backing singer where she will perform alongside her 13 year old god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, towards the end of September claims the newspaper.
Winehouse, who has recently referred to Bromfield as being her best friend, will stop at nothing to help Dionne become a huge success the Mirror quotes ‘a source’ as saying, and adds, ” Strictly was just too big an opportunity for them to not take.”
“Strictly have made it a priority to sign Amy and will stop at nothing to have her. X Factor have upped their game with the likes of Madonna and Robbie Williams in talks. So bagging Amy would be a real coup.”
Bromfield is the first signing for Winehouse’s own Lioness Record label.
